Fred Dent CFA is celebrating his 25th year in the financial planning and investment business. He started Dent Asset Management in 1997. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on financial topics that inspire and educate. For eight years he was the resident financial analyst on CBS affiliate WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge with his popular and informative segment, “Dollars and Dent”. Fred earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. For the first three years of his career, he worked for a major Wall Street firm in New York City where he met his wife Jeanine. Today, they live with their two children, four cats, and a dog in McLean, VA. He is an active participant in Rotary International and several other local community organizations. He is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter.
Zaheer Poptani MA, LLB, MBA was born and raised in London, England. After completing his Law Degree at the University of Exeter, he was awarded a scholarship to study at Louisiana State University. After completing a Master’s Degree in Political Science with a concentration in Comparative Political Economics he joined Dent Asset Management in May 2000 as an investment analyst. In 2002 he completed his MBA at Louisiana State University with a concentration in International Finance. He has since become a partner in the firm and is the Chief Compliance Officer at Dent Asset Management. Zaheer has been a Rotarian since 2005 and currently lives in Great Falls, Virginia with his wife of nine years and two children.
Mawe Takyi, CFP® grew up in Accra, Ghana. He joined Dent Asset Management in 2004 as a financial analyst focusing on stock and mutual fund research. He later moved into the role of financial advisor where he now focuses on holistic financial planning and investment management for our clients. He helps clients navigate the complex process of multi-generational wealth management and preservation of purchasing power. Mawe graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Economics. He is married to his college sweetheart. They have one son. They reside in Washington, DC. Mawe is a member of the Washington DC Rotary Club and a Certified Financial Planner (TM) professional.

Rhonda Brouillette Cassano is in charge of operations. She has spent her entire adult life in the financial services industry. She has been working as part of the Dent team for over 22 years. Rhonda is a life-long resident of Baton Rouge and an avid marathon runner. She lives with her husband Don and her dachshund Chip.
